anthropologie - bedding.

 project five: signage.

 i used an old-fashioned type writer and made signage for all of the new bedding. (it felt so vintage and cool to use a type writer!)  

next i put photos of the corresponding bedding on the cards, and used string to wrap the duvet's together with their new signage.

 

anthropologie - bed.

project four: the bed.

one day while working at anthropologie, I was given a merchandising task: I was asked to choose bedding, steam it, and make the bed in our "home section" that features our gorgeous bedding, pillows and home accessories.

eventually, a visual display task was added. yarn was dip-dyed and then wrapped around nails to make geometric shapes around the bed frame. the teal and violet yarn adds another dimension to the bed, and gives a very artistic feel to the entire display.

 project three: geometric rope shapes.

 

nails were drilled into the walls to create a number of geometric shapes. 

brown rope and neon orange rope were wrapped around nails to create different shapes behind the cash&wrap station, as well as a complementary wall addition to the spring apparel.

anthropologie - flowers.

project two: flower making.

i created large-scale flowers to complement the spring apparel displays.

[rolled recycled shopping bags into cones and secured with staples and hot glue guns; the flowers were dip-dyed with yellow dye; the dyed cones were secured into a ball of chicken wire and then connected to a large faux-stem.] 

anthropologie - couture dress.

 first project at anthropologie:

creating couture dresses for the main window displays, out of sewing pattern paper.

[used pins, glue guns, staple guns, sewing pattern paper, construction paper to create dresses on the mannequins. cloth was dyed green; cut; stretched and glued to the art walls behind the mannequins to create color contrast.]
